The University of St Andrews cafés are open to students, staff, and the community, offering fresh, locally sourced food at great value. With affordable meal deals, convenient locations, and welcoming spaces to connect and refuel our cafés are perfect for grabbing a coffee, enjoying a hearty lunch, or catching up with friends.

Catered Accommodation

Agnes Blackadder Hall

Agnes Blackadder Hall is the largest hall of residence under one roof. The committee and wardennial team organise regular events to create a strong community feel. The Forbes Bar is available for students to study and socialise.

Andrew Melville Hall

The small size of this hall allows staff and students to get to know each other, making the hall feel like home. The hall committee organises events including ceilidhs and pizza and movie nights.

David Russell Apartments/Fife Park

David Russell Apartments and Fife Park offer catered and self-catered options. The committee organises events such as film nights, pub quizzes, and the annual student‑run ball. David Russell Apartments also has its own bar.

Dean's Court

Located in the centre of St Andrews, Dean’s Court offers catered accommodation for postgraduate students. Meals are provided for a specific number of weeks.

John Burnet Hall

John Burnet Hall offers a close-knit community for residents. The student committee is active and works with residence staff to organise regular events like BBQs and garden parties.

McIntosh Hall

McIntosh Hall is a small and friendly hall with a strong community spirit. The student committee is active and organises social events, including hall quizzes, sports events and beach games.  

St Regulus Hall

Nicknamed ‘Regs’ by its residents, it is a charming Victorian building close to the centre of St Andrews. The hall has a tight-knit and friendly community and hosts regular formal dinners in which all residents eat together.

St Salvator’s Hall/Gannochy

St Salvator’s Hall is a traditional hall of residence built in 1930, with an impressive oak-panelled dining room, featuring stained glass windows. The hall is an a central and quiet location next to St Salvator’s Quadrangle.

University Hall

University Hall has a vibrant community atmosphere thanks to its relatively small size. The student committee organises events including pizza parties and games nights. Residents from Wardlaw and Whitehorn Hall also dine here.
